As many of you will know, I have been working within the franchising industry for a number of years now. As well as establishing and managing my own franchise network, Extra Help®, since 2010, as the CEO of the AFA I have gained considerable experience in assisting business owners with franchising their businesses and helping franchisees to select the best franchise for them.
I am, therefore, delighted to announce that I have recently been offered the opportunity to work as a franchise consultant with an organisation called Accentiá, a full service, franchise development and consultancy service that works with businesses to assist them with expansion into new, national and international markets through franchising.
I will be working alongside Accentiá’s founder, Paul Mitchell, a business professional with over thirty-five years’ experience in corporate finance, brokerage, mergers and acquisitions, property development and sales. Paul has developed several franchise systems and marketing solutions, both for his clients and his own business. He also created the UK’s largest, franchise business brokerage, which was subsequently sold in a franchisee buy-out in 2001.
Paul founded Accentiá in 2015. For franchisors, regardless of whether they are considering franchising for the first time or they are an established franchise network looking for new approaches to recruitment, training and retention of franchisees, Accentiá can provide a solution to meet their objectives. Equally, they help potential franchisees to determine that the franchise they are considering is the correct fit for them.
As a franchise consultant, I will aim to provide would-be franchisors with a clear route to market and a strategy that will anticipate and seek to resolve the many problems that franchisors face when starting out.
I will also help clients who are new to franchising to deliver the key collateral they need to enable them to franchise their businesses, such as operations and training manuals, prospectuses and other, essential, marketing materials, along with tried and tested franchise and license agreements for review with their legal advisors.
If the client already has an established franchise network, I will be on hand to offer evaluation processes and objective reporting, helping them to identify problem areas, along with advice and guidance to refocus on their key values and overall business objectives.
I am sure you will agree that this new ‘string to my bow’ will enable me to deliver even more value to potential franchisors and franchisees and provide a truly comprehensive service to the franchise sector. I’m looking forward to getting started and am so excited about the future!
