Our clients are based across the UK, and include individual entrepreneurs and executives, small and medium sized businesses and PLCs.

We handle a wide variety of general and specialist legal work. Our teams have the expertise to deal efficiently with your business’ day to day legal issues. Passion for their respective sectors gives our lawyers a crucial advantage when dealing with your legal matters.

Our specialist Franchising team

Our Franchising team provides both franchisors and franchisees with expert legal advice in all areas of franchise law and practice. We provide our clients with the “highest standard of advice at a reasonable rate” (Legal 500).

In addition to specific advice on franchise agreements, we advise both franchisors and franchisees on other legal issues relating to their businesses. Our Franchising team works alongside our Employment and HR, Commercial Property, Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution teams to provide our clients with a comprehensive service.

Partner Stephen Thompson heads our franchising team, with over 25 years’ experience in advising on franchising issues and in particular the buying and selling franchises.

Stephen holds the British Franchise Association’s “Qualified Franchise Professional” (QFP) accreditation, as does Siobhan Williams, an associate within the team.

Stephen is also the chair of the South West and Wales branch of Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF).
